How to Measure Your Pool for Accurate Water Delivery

Three Essential Measurements

To calculate the exact volume of water you need, we only require three basic measurements from your pool, all measured in metres (m):

  1. Length (A): The longest distance of your pool’s surface.

  2. Width (B): The widest distance of your pool’s surface (perpendicular to A).

  3. Average Depth: Measure the shallowest depth and the deepest depth, add them together, and divide by two.

  4.

Average Depth =(Shallow Depth + Deep Depth)/2

Calculate Your Pool Volume

Pool Shape Calculation Formula

Rectangle, Square, or Roman/Rectangular with Corners (Middle Image)

Circular or Oval (Left Image)

Kidney, Irregular, or Freeform

Volume(m^3) = Length(A) x Width(B) x Average Depth

Volume(m^3) = A x B x 0.89 x Average Depth

Volume(m^3) = Longest Length x Average Width x 0.77 x Average Depth
